When we take the next step in human evolution and create a new race, what improvements should be focused on?

With all the new technology being developed, we will soon be able to create a new version of humanity. Examples would be neuro-computer interfaces, bio-electric energy created by solar power, ending the aging process, and an extremely durable exoskeletion. What enhancements or alterations do you think would be most important?
