Which ski/snowboard resort/lodge should we go to?

Skip Alpine Valley. My recommendation would be Wilmot. It's closer and is used to handling large groups of people. Plus, it's really cool to ski the run called State Line, where you can literally cross the IL-WI state line with every turn. Advanced skiers will find Wilmot boring, but beginners should have a blast.
