How to fix xbox live connection (360)?

Ok now I have had a problem with our network for awhile and randomly my xbox 360 wont connect to live because "The dns server did not send a ip address or some what" I tried microsoft but everything (dns server related ) is all automatic and they said to do nothing -.- I tried shutting it off and on unplugging the internet cord and everything but no positive results... Advice?
